A list of books that I found useful for parenting.
- Nurture Shock — This one addresses a number of different myths that you can run into, as a parent. I read it on kindle while nursing because Carolyn Hax recommended it. The one chapter that sticks in my mind the most is the one about racism and how trying to raise your children “colorblind” just makes them more susceptible to the background racism of society. Colorblindness has a counter-intuitive effect.
